Representative Experience
Mr. Durdella has 5 years of experience in the field of
engineering geology and related earth sciences.
As a staff engineering geologist with Cotton, Shires and Associates,
Inc., Mr. Durdella assists in a variety of projects. In this capacity, he is responsible for
collection, compilation, and analysis of geologic and geotechnical data, and
preparation and presentation of technical maps and reports. In addition, his duties include analysis of
aerial photograph interpretation; seismic interpretation and analysis of well
logs; logging of exploratory boreholes and test pits; installation and
monitoring of slope inclinometers and piezometers; total station surveying;
geologic mapping of bedrock and surficial deposits; assistance in geotechnical
peer reviews; and construction inspecting and testing.
As a geologist, Mr. Durdella has
worked on a variety of projects including Park Landslide investigation and
monitoring, Fremont, CA; Amesti Road Landslide monitoring, Santa Cruz County,
CA; Pisani Landslide mitigation, Alameda County, CA; Geotechnical peer reviews
for Bay Area communities; Long-term monitoring of Mission Peak Landslide,
Fremont, CA. In addition, Mr. Durdella
has worked on slope stability hazard projects for PG&E in Plumas and
